Developed by Sega in 1991, The Lucky Dime Caper Starring Donald Duck is a charming side-scrolling platformer for the Sega Master System. When the evil sorceress Magica De Spell kidnaps Huey, Dewey, and Louie and steals Uncle Scrooge’s famous Number One Dime, it is up to Donald to travel across the globe to rescue them. Exploring levels like the Northern Woods and Magica’s Castle, Donald must bop enemies with his trusty mallet and fling frisbees to survive this classic 8-bit adventure.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the end of each stage, defeat the bosses, and rescue Donald’s nephews before finally confronting Magica De Spell. To control Donald in your browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, Z to attack (swing your mallet or throw a disc), and X to jump. Press Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Collect star icons dropped by defeated enemies; picking these up will upgrade your attack speed and turn your mallet into a long-range disc attack.
- If you take a hit, you will lose your current weapon upgrade and revert to the basic mallet. Be extra cautious until you can find another star.
- Watch out for the time limit. Unlike the Game Gear release, the Master System version features a timer on every stage, so keep moving forward to avoid losing a life.
