Developed by Konami in 1985 for the Sega SG-1000, King’s Valley is an action-puzzle platformer where you guide an explorer through Egyptian pyramids. You must collect all the gems in each chamber to unlock the exit door while outmaneuvering mummies that patrol the tombs.
How to play
Your objective is to gather every gem on the screen to open the exit to the next level. Use the Arrow keys to move and climb stairs, press Z to jump (Button A), and use X to throw daggers or swing pickaxes (Button B). Press Enter to start or reset.
Tips
- Mummies will actively pursue you, so you can lure them into pits or trap them by digging away the floor.
- Pickaxes have limited uses and break after a few swings, so carefully plan which blocks to destroy.
- Avoid digging yourself into a corner; if you fall into a pit you cannot jump out of, you will be trapped.
