Game description:

Released in 1990 by Capcom for the NES, Mega Man 3 is a quintessential action platformer that introduces several enduring staples to the series. Players once again guide the Blue Bomber through eight challenging stages, this time aided by his new robotic canine companion, Rush, and tested by the enigmatic Proto Man in a quest to defeat Dr. Wily's latest rogue Robot Masters.

How to Play

Navigate treacherous stages, defeat enemies, and face off against a Robot Master at the end of each level. Once defeated, you absorb their signature weapon to use against other bosses.

Controls:

  • Movement: Arrow Keys (maps to the NES D-pad)
  • Jump: Z (maps to the NES A button)
  • Shoot / Use Weapon: X (maps to the NES B button)
  • Slide: Hold Down + Jump (Z)
  • Start / Pause: Enter
  • Select: Shift

Tips for Success

  • The slide maneuver (Down + Jump) is crucial for dodging fast-moving attacks and passing through narrow gaps.
  • Bosses are weak to specific weapons. For example, Magnet Man is highly vulnerable to the Spark Shock, while Top Man takes heavy damage from the Hard Knuckle.
  • Summon Rush Coil or Rush Jet to reach high platforms or navigate difficult sections safely.
