Game description:

Deadly Towers is an action-adventure role-playing game released for the NES in 1987. Taking on the role of Prince Myer, players explore a vast, interconnected landscape to conquer the seven titular towers and defeat the evil Rubas. Known as one of the earliest entries in the console’s library, it earned a lasting reputation for its punishing difficulty and steep learning curve.

How to Play

The objective is to navigate the challenging labyrinth of screens, collect power-ups, and destroy the monsters lurking in each tower. Play using the standard NES controls mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to move, press Z and X for the A and B buttons (such as throwing swords), and use Enter and Shift for Start and Select.

Tips

  • Progress carefully, as enemies move erratically and Prince Myer starts off quite weak.
  • Focus on finding hidden shops to upgrade your armor and weapons early on to improve your chances of survival.
