WCW Mayhem is a professional wrestling game released for the PlayStation in 1999, published by Electronic Arts. As the first WCW title produced by EA, it features a large roster of classic wrestlers, authentic audio commentary by Bobby Heenan and Tony Schiavone, and notable backstage brawl areas where players can take the fight outside the ring.
How to Play
In this browser emulation, the standard PlayStation controls are mapped to your keyboard. Use the Arrow Keys (D-pad) to move your wrestler. Press Z (Cross/X) to grapple or strike, X (Square) to block, and S (Triangle) to run. A (Circle) is used to interact with the environment or tag in a partner, and Enter (Start) pauses the game. To win a match, deplete your opponent’s momentum and secure a pinfall or submission.
Tips
- Build Momentum: Chaining successful grapples and strikes builds your momentum meter. A full meter allows you to perform your wrestler’s signature finishing move to turn the tide of the match.
- Use the Environment: Do not hesitate to take the fight to the backstage areas. You can often find weapons and objects to deal extra damage.
