U.F.O. Kamen Yakisoban: Kettler no Kuroi Inbou is a bizarre and charming promotional beat ’em up released for the Super Nintendo in 1994. Originally distributed as a consumer prize in Japan before receiving a retail release, the game was designed to promote Nissin’s U.F.O. brand of instant yakisoba noodles. You take on the role of the tokusatsu-inspired hero Yakisobanโcomplete with a noodle bowl helmetโfighting through five stages of absurd, food-themed enemies to rescue your girlfriend from the villainous Kettler.
How to Play
The game follows traditional 2D side-scrolling brawler mechanics where you use punches, kicks, and limited-use special attacks to clear out waves of enemies. For this browser-based SNES emulation, use the arrow keys to move. The SNES face buttons are mapped to Z, X, A, and S, while Enter acts as Start and Shift acts as Select.
