Game description:

Tube It (also known as Cachat in Japan) is a fast-paced arcade puzzle game released by Taito in 1993. Players must clear a playing field by guiding falling pipe-shaped blocks to create a continuous path for an electrical current, connecting electrodes on the edges of the screen before the stack reaches the top.

How to Play

The objective is to connect two electrodes by forming a complete circuit with the falling pieces. Use the arcade joystick (mapped to the arrow keys) to move the falling blocks left or right, and the action button (mapped to Z, X, or Space) to rotate them. The blocks come in various shapes, including straight lines, curves, pluses, and T-shapes. In a unique twist for the genre, you can also pull a block out from beneath others already placed on the board to adjust your layout.

Tips

  • Keep an eye on the edges of the screen to see where the active electrodes are located, as their positions can change.
  • Don’t be afraid to pull out misplaced blocks from the bottom of your stack to complete a circuit or lower the pile.
