Tsuppari Oozumou is a classic sumo wrestling sports game released by Tecmo for the NES in 1987. As one of the earliest titles to tackle the sport, it blends fighting mechanics with traditional sumo rules, challenging players to rise through the ranks by out-maneuvering and overpowering their opponents in the dohyo.
How to play
Your objective is to win each match by forcing your opponent out of the ring or making them touch the ground. Gameplay relies on timing, positioning, and rapid button presses to execute slaps, pushes, and throws.

Tips
- Mashing buttons blindly can leave you vulnerable. Focus on your opponent’s position and counter their attacks with a well-timed throw.
- Manage your momentum carefully; use pushing attacks to drive your opponent near the edge of the ring before attempting a decisive finisher.
