The Legend of Kage is a high-flying action platformer released by Taito in 1986. You play as the ninja Kage on a fast-paced mission to rescue Princess Kiri from a sinister warlord. How to play
Your goal is to survive the seasons as you move through the forest, along the moat, and into the enemy stronghold. Kage moves incredibly fast and can leap far into the air. Defeat enemies using your shurikens for ranged attacks and your short sword for close combat.
Controls: Move with the arrow keys (use the Up arrow to jump). Press Z and X to attack with your sword and throw shurikens. Press Enter to Start/Reset.
Tips
- Your sword attack isn’t just for offense; it can be used defensively to block incoming shurikens and fire.
- Stay mobile. Lingering in one place makes you an easy target for enemies dropping from the trees above.
- Master Kage’s immense jumping ability to bypass danger or gain a height advantage against airborne foes.
