Developed by Virgin Interactive in 1994, The Jungle Book is a challenging action platformer for the SNES that follows Mowgli on his journey through the wild. You navigate vibrant jungle environments while avoiding traps, swinging on vines, and battling wildlife.

How to play

Your objective is to guide Mowgli to the end of each stage while collecting gems. You can defeat most enemies by jumping on them or throwing bananas from a distance. Use the arrow keys (↑↓←→) to move and aim, press Z to jump, and press X to throw bananas. The A, S, Q, and E keys are used for additional actions like switching weapons, while Enter pauses the game.

Tips

Focus on gathering red gems in the early levels to build up a buffer of continues, which are essential for surviving the difficult later stages.
Save your limited fruit power-ups like coconuts and seeking fruits for tougher enemies and boss encounters.
During the boss fight against Kaa the Snake, keep your distance, use seeking fruit, and aim for his tail instead of his head when he emerges.
