The Humans is a puzzle-platformer developed by Imagitec and published by GameTek for the SNES in 1992. Similar in spirit to Lemmings, you must guide a prehistoric tribe through a series of levels, but rather than assigning tasks to a marching horde, you directly control and switch between individual tribe members. You must coordinate their movements and use tools like spears, ropes, and torches to overcome obstacles, defeat dinosaurs, and reach the exit before time runs out.
How to play
Your objective in each stage variesโfrom rescuing a fellow human to finding a specific tool or simply getting at least one tribe member to the exit tile. You can switch control between the humans on screen to maneuver them into position. They can form human ladders to reach higher ledges or toss weapons to one another across gaps.

Tips
- Conserve tools: A spear can be thrown to kill enemies or used to pole-vault across gaps, but if it breaks or is lost, you might not be able to finish the level.
- Build ladders: You can stack humans on top of each other to reach higher platforms. The bottom human will be stuck in place until the ones above move.
- Pass items: Humans can throw tools to each other. This is essential when one human is trapped behind a wall but needs a spear or torch to proceed.
