🎮 Play The End Online (Arcade)

Released in 1980 by Konami and licensed to Stern Electronics, The End is a unique arcade fixed shooter that puts a clever spin on the genre. Instead of simply trying to destroy your ship, the waves of alien bugs dropping from the mothership have a specific mission: stealing blocks from your defensive bases. If the aliens successfully carry enough blocks to the top of the screen, they will spell out the word “END,” resulting in an instant game over.

How to Play

Your objective is to pilot your spaceship and shoot down the alien swarm while protecting your bases at the bottom of the screen. If an alien manages to grab a block, you can still blast it out of the sky before it reaches the top to recover your piece. The arcade controls are simple: use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move your ship, and press Z, X, Enter, or Shift to fire your weapon.

Tips

• Prioritize the thieves: Whenever a bug swoops down and grabs a block, make shooting it your top priority. Destroying the alien mid-flight prevents it from adding to the word at the top.
• Protect your center: Since the aliens need a specific number of blocks to spell “END,” defending the clusters of blocks most targeted by their diving patterns will keep you in the game longer.
