🎮 Play The Berlin Wall Online (Arcade)

The Berlin Wall is a classic arcade platformer released by Kaneko in 1991. Drawing inspiration from early maze-action games, you navigate a series of single-screen stages by using a hammer to break holes in the floor to trap patrolling monsters. Once an enemy falls into a gap, you have a brief window to smash them before they climb out and continue their pursuit.

How to Play

Your objective is to clear each stage of all enemies before the timer runs out. Use the arrow keys to move your character and climb ladders. Press Shift to insert a coin, then Enter to start. Press the Z or X key to swing your hammer, which breaks the destructible blocks beneath your feet or strikes enemies trapped in holes.

Gameplay Tips

• Don’t wait: Enemies that fall into a hole will eventually climb out if you don’t defeat them quickly. Once they escape, they often become faster and more aggressive.
• Watch your step: You can fall through the holes you create to reach lower platforms, but be careful not to drop directly onto an enemy patrolling below.
• Strategic digging: Since you cannot jump, you must rely on ladders and dropping through broken blocks to navigate. Plan your route so you don’t get cornered.
