Super Football is a late-era American football game published by Atari for the Atari 2600 in 1989. Arriving well after the system’s commercial peak, it offers a more ambitious take on the sport than the console’s earlier titles, featuring a scrolling field, play calling, and five-on-five gameplay.
How to play
Select your offensive and defensive plays at the line of scrimmage and try to outmaneuver the opposing team. The game supports both single-player against the computer and local two-player matches.
- Player 1: Use the Arrow keys to steer your active player and Spacebar for the primary action.
- Player 2: Use T, G, F, and H to move and A for the primary action.
- Console controls: Press F11 (Select) to choose your game mode and F12 (Reset) to start the match.
