Game description:

Street Fighter Zero is the 1995 arcade 2D fighting game by Capcom, released internationally as Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors’ Dreams. Set before the events of Street Fighter II, it introduces a vibrant anime-inspired art style and a refined combo system. This specific version is the Brazilian 951109 revision, which features minor region-specific adjustments to the arcade release while preserving the core competitive gameplay that kicked off the Alpha series.

How to play

Your objective is to defeat opponents in one-on-one combat to drain their vitality bar. The game uses a standard six-button layout, offering three punch strengths and three kick strengths. You can block incoming attacks by holding back on the directional pad. Street Fighter Zero introduces the Super Combo gauge, which fills as you perform special moves and attacks. Once charged, you can unleash devastating Super Combos to turn the tide of battle. Additionally, you can perform Alpha Counters (Zero Counters) while blocking to immediately retaliate against an opponent’s pressure.

Tips

  • Use Alpha Counters: If you are trapped blocking a string of attacks, press back-down-forward and a punch or kick button to perform an Alpha Counter and break out of the pressure.
  • Air Blocking: Unlike previous entries, you can block while jumping. Use this to safely approach opponents who rely on anti-air projectiles.
  • Chain Combos: Lighter normal attacks can naturally cancel into heavier normal attacks, making it easier to string together basic combos without relying purely on precise special move inputs.
