Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors’ Dreams is a 1995 2D fighting game developed by Capcom for the arcade. Serving as a prequel to the legendary Street Fighter II, it introduced a new anime-inspired art style and several new mechanics, including the multi-level Super Combo gauge, Chain Combos, and Alpha Counters, while bringing returning legends and new challengers to the series.
How to Play
Fight your way through a series of opponents in best-of-three matches. In the browser, standard arcade controls map the Arrow keys for movement and jumping. Action buttons are mapped to the keyboard (typically Z, X, C for punches and A, S, D for kicks in a six-button fighter). Use Enter to insert a coin or press Start.
Tips
- The Super Combo gauge has three levels; you can choose to unleash a weaker, level-one Super Combo early or save up for a devastating level-three attack by pressing multiple punch or kick buttons.
- Alpha Counters allow you to block an attack and immediately counterattack by pressing a punch and kick of the same strength while pushing forward.
- Chain Combos let you link normal attacks together, moving smoothly from lighter to heavier strikes to keep your opponent under pressure.
