Star Jacker is a vertical-scrolling shooter developed by SEGA for the SG-1000 in 1983. The game’s standout feature is its unique life system: you pilot a formation of up to three ships simultaneously. Taking a hit destroys one of your ships and reduces your firepower, while losing all three costs you a life. Staying true to its arcade roots, the game challenges you to survive relentless waves of enemies by relying on pattern recognition as much as reflexes.
How to play
Your goal is to destroy incoming enemy squadrons while protecting your ship formation. Enemy attack waves arrive in set, repeating patterns, so survival depends heavily on learning these formations and pre-positioning yourself in the right part of the screen before the next group appears.
