Released by SEGA Enterprises in 1982, Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom brings the fast-paced, forward-scrolling action of the arcade space shooter to the Sega SG-1000. Piloting a fighter ship, you race through a series of pseudo-3D stages, weaving between electron posts and space mines while shooting down waves of enemy craft before confronting the mothership.
How to play
Your ship is always moving forward; your goal is to survive the hazards and destroy the required number of enemies to reach the next stage. Use the arrow keys to steer your ship around obstacles and dodge incoming fire. Press Z or X to shoot your lasers at enemy ships. Press Enter to start or reset the game.
Tips
Stay near the bottom of the screen when navigating through the gates and electron posts, as it gives you a clearer view of approaching hazards. Keep your fire steady when enemy ships appear on the horizon to destroy them before they have a chance to swarm you.
