Game description:

Developed by Almanic and released in 1994, Shin Nekketsu Kouha – Kunio-tachi no Banka is a gritty Super Famicom (SNES) beat-’em-up that takes the Kunio-kun series in a more dramatic direction. Framed for a hit-and-run, Kunio and Riki must break out of prison and fight through the streets to clear their names, accompanied by their girlfriends Misako and Kyoko.

How to Play

Your objective is to brawl through waves of enemies and defeat the boss at the end of each stage. A key feature of this game is the ability to swap between your two active characters at any time during the fight. Using the default SNES browser controls, move with the arrow keys, jump with X, attack with Z, and press A to tag in your partner. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Tag out to survive: Characters do not share a health bar, but if one of them is defeated, it’s game over. Tag out to your partner when your health runs low.
  • Use back attacks: Enemies will try to surround you. Quickly press the attack button in the opposite direction you are facing to perform a back attack and create space.
