Shaq-Fu is a 1994 2D fighting game for the Sega Genesis, developed by Delphine Software. The game stars basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, who stumbles into an alternate dimension to rescue a young boy from an evil mummy named Sett Ra. Rather than playing basketball, Shaq uses his own martial arts style to battle a roster of supernatural opponents in one-on-one combat.
How to Play
Your objective is to defeat each opponent in best-of-three rounds by depleting their health bar. Play using the default Sega Genesis controls mapped to your keyboard: move, jump, and crouch with the Arrow Keys, and execute your light and heavy attacks using Z, X, and C. Press Enter for Start.
Tips
- Shaq’s reach with his kicks is surprisingly long; use this to poke opponents from a safe distance before they can close in.
- Blocking is essential against faster characters like Mephis or Beast. Hold back on the directional keys to defend against their combo attacks.
- Master Shaq’s special projectile attacks early to keep aggressive enemies at bay and control the pacing of the match.
