Rolling Thunder 2 (1991) is a classic side-scrolling run-and-gun action game developed by Namco for the Sega Genesis. Players take on the role of WCPO agents Albatross and Leila to infiltrate and dismantle the revived terrorist organization Neo Geldra. How to Play
Your objective is to navigate heavily guarded enemy bases, conserving ammunition and utilizing cover to survive. You move with the D-pad and shoot or jump using the action buttons (typically mapped to arrow keys + Z/X/C in the browser). A critical mechanic is moving vertically between levels: press Up and Jump to leap to a higher catwalk, or Down and Jump to drop below. You can also press Up to hide in open doorways to dodge enemy fire and ambush patrols.
Tips
- Keep a close eye on your ammunition limit. Enter marked doors (often labelled “BULLETS” or “ARMS”) to restock your standard pistol or acquire the powerful assault rifle.
- Use doors as tactical cover. You cannot be hit while hiding inside one, making them perfect for avoiding incoming shots or waiting out large groups of enemies.
- Commit to jumps carefully. Jumping leaves you vulnerable in the air, so try to take out enemies on your current level before moving vertically.
