Road Runner is an unlicensed action arcade game released for the NES by Tengen in 1989. Based on the classic Atari arcade cabinet and the famous Looney Tunes cartoon, players take control of the lightning-fast bird to outrun the ever-persistent Wile E. Coyote. You must navigate treacherous desert highways, dodging oncoming trucks, falling boulders, and landmines while making sure to eat enough birdseed to keep moving.
How to Play
The goal is to survive as long as possible while keeping your birdseed meter filled and staying ahead of Wile E. Coyote. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow keys to move the Road Runner and dodge obstacles. Press the Z and X keys to jump or interact, and use Enter and Shift for Start and Select.
Tips
- Maintain a steady pace to collect every pile of birdseed you can; missing too many will deplete your energy and cost a life.
- You can score bonus points by cleverly luring Wile E. Coyote into hazards like passing trucks or landmines without getting caught yourself.
