Pooyan is a 1982 fixed-screen arcade game by Konami, ported to the Atari 2600 by Hudson Soft. You play a mother pig on a rope-and-pulley platform, defending her piglets from wolves descending from the sky — each one dangling from a balloon. Ride up and down to line up your shot, then fire arrows to pop the balloons before the wolves reach the ground.
How to Play
Move your platform up and down with the ↑ / ↓ arrow keys. Press Spacebar to fire. Every wolf hangs from a balloon — hit the balloon and the wolf drops. Press F12 to reset, F11 to select a game variation, or Alt+P to pause.
Tips
- Always target the lowest wolf first — they are closest to landing and the most urgent threat.
- Keep moving your platform rather than hovering in one spot; a wolf that drifts below you before you react is a missed shot.
