Game description:

Plotting (World Set 3, the earliest known build of the World revision), known in Japan as Flipull, is a tile-matching arcade puzzle game released by Taito in 1989. You clear a wall of colorful patterned blocks by launching a matching block into it, chaining eliminations before the timer runs out.

How to Play

Your character sits at the edge of the play field and moves up or down to line up a shot. Fire your held block into the wall and it destroys every connected block sharing its pattern, then bounces back the block it lands on to become your next shot. Angled surfaces at the top of the field let you bank shots to reach blocks a straight throw can’t hit. To play in the browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, Z, X, or Space to shoot, 5 or Shift to insert a coin, and 1 or Enter to start.

Tips

  • Look ahead to what block you’ll get back after a shot — grabbing one that doesn’t match anything on the wall wastes time hunting for its next target.
  • Save wild “S” blocks for when you’re boxed in with no matching pattern exposed; they clear any block and reopen the wall.
  • Use bank shots off the angled ceiling pieces to pick off blocks tucked behind others that a direct shot can’t reach.
