Pac-Attack is a 1993 falling-block puzzle game for the Super Nintendo (SNES) that blends traditional line-clearing mechanics with classic Pac-Man ghost-chasing. Developed by Namco as a reskin of Cosmo Gang the Puzzle, players must carefully manage standard building blocks alongside pesky ghosts that pile up on the board.
How to Play
Blocks, ghosts, and the occasional Pac-Man fall from the top of the screen in groups of three. Arrange the solid blocks to form complete horizontal lines, which clears them from the board. Ghosts cannot be cleared by making lines; instead, you must wait for a Pac-Man piece to drop. Place Pac-Man so he can eat as many adjacent ghosts as possible before his path is blocked. Use the Arrow Keys to move falling pieces and Z or X to rotate them. Press Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Pac-Man always moves in the direction his mouth is facing when he lands. Line up ghosts to create a continuous, winding path for him to follow.
- Eating ghosts fills the Fairy Meter. Once full, a Fairy piece drops that will zap and clear all ghosts in the rows directly beneath her.
- Never trap ghosts underneath solid blocks, as Pac-Man cannot dig through solid lines to reach them.
