Released by Mattel Electronics in 1983 for the Atari 2600, Masters of the Universe: The Power of He-Man is an action-shooter split into two distinct segments. Players first pilot the Wind Raider to Castle Grayskull, bombing and blasting enemies from the air, before taking control of He-Man on foot to battle Skeletor.
How to play
The objective is to reach Castle Grayskull by surviving two distinct phases. In the first phase, pilot the Wind Raider and shoot or bomb incoming fireballs and tracker ships. Once you land, fight through Skeletor’s energy blasts on foot to reach him and secure victory. The game loops infinitely, increasing in speed and difficulty with each clear.

Tips
- In the Wind Raider phase, use the craft’s vertical mobility to dodge tracking fireballs, as shooting them all becomes impossible on later loops.
- When fighting Skeletor on foot, you can use He-Man’s shield to block incoming energy blasts by timing your movements carefully.
