Lock ’n’ Chase is a maze-chase action game brought to the Atari 2600 by Mattel Electronics in 1981. Playing as a bank robber, your goal is to clear the vault of all its coins while dodging four pursuing police officers. Instead of simply outrunning them, you can strategically close doors behind you to block their path or trap them temporarily.
How to play
Navigate the maze to collect all the coins without being caught by the police. When an officer is closing in, press the action button to lock a door in their face and force them to find another route.
- Move: Arrow keys
- Lock Door: Spacebar
- Select / Reset: F11 / F12
Tips
- Use doors to trap an officer between two locked paths; this neutralizes them for a few seconds and earns you bonus points.
- Grab the treasures that occasionally spawn in the center of the maze for extra points before they disappear.
