Developed by Virgin Games and released in 1989, Ironman Offroad Racing is an arcade-style, single-screen racing game for the SNES. You steer rugged 4×4 trucks around bumpy dirt tracks, competing against opponents to earn prize money that can be spent on upgrading vehicle stats like top speed, acceleration, and nitrous oxide capacity.
How to play
The objective is to finish first by maintaining momentum through tight corners and over jumps, tactically using nitrous boosts to overtake opponents. Between races, use your winnings to buy upgrades at the speed shop. You can play with a second player using a shared keyboard or a separate gamepad.

Tips
- Focus on upgrading your acceleration before top speed; the tracks are tight and bumpy, so recovering quickly after a crash is vital.
- Save your nitrous oxide for the final lap or long straightaways, and avoid using it right before a sharp turn where you might slam into the barrier.
