🎮 Play Hogan’s Alley Online (NES)

Originally designed for the NES Zapper in 1984, Nintendo’s Hogan’s Alley is an action shooter that tests your reflexes with pop-up cardboard targets. Instead of simply blasting everything on screen, you must quickly distinguish between armed gangsters and innocent bystanders across police training courses and city streets.

How to play

The objective is to shoot the armed villains while leaving the civilians—the professor, the woman, and the police officer—unharmed. The game features three modes: a standard lineup, an alleyway with targets popping out of windows, and a trick shot mode where you juggle tin cans. Use the controls below to aim and fire:

Tips

• The civilian targets never change—memorize the professor, the woman, and the police officer so you can instinctively hold your fire when they appear.
• In Game C (Trick Shot), focus on keeping the tin cans airborne rather than rushing them toward the scoring slots; chaining bounces yields more points.
