Haja no Fuuin (覇邪の封印) is a role-playing game released for the Sega Master System in Japan on October 18, 1987. Developed by Kogado Software Products, it began the previous year on Japanese home computers before Sega ported it to the Master System; the same game was later localized for the West as Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord. The story follows a lone hero who must recruit three companions — the warrior Guy, the amazon Medi, and the pirate Turo — after Demon Queen Terarin steals the Golden Seal and opens the Pandora Passage, loosing dark creatures upon the world.
How to Play
Battles are turn-based and one-on-one: each turn you control a single party member’s attack while the rest wait, so managing whose health is low matters more than raw numbers. Beyond gold, monster fangs collected in battle are traded to kings at castles for the game’s best weapons, making regular fighting worthwhile for more than experience alone.
- D-pad — Arrow keys (move)
- Button 1 — Z (attack / confirm)
- Button 2 — X (cancel / menu)
- Start/Pause — Enter
Tips
- Fight often even once your party feels strong — you need monster fangs, not just gold, to afford the best weapons from the kings at each castle.
- Equipment wears down with use; a traveling blacksmith can repair it for free, saving guilders over paying a town smith.
- There’s no in-battle healing item, and reviving a fallen companion costs heavily at the right town — reloading a save is often faster than a wipe.
