Gunpey is an addictive puzzle game originally released for the PlayStation, named in honor of legendary game designer Gunpei Yokoi. Players are tasked with shifting line fragments vertically across a grid to connect them from the left edge of the screen to the right. Once a continuous line is formed, it clears from the board, keeping the ever-rising stack from reaching the top.
How to Play
Your objective is to prevent the line segments from reaching the top of the grid. Use the D-pad (arrow keys) to select a panel and move it up or down within its column. Press the action button (Z or X) to confirm the swap. Connect a line horizontally across all five columns to clear it.
Tips
- Build chains: When a line is complete, it pauses briefly before clearing. Use this time to attach more segments to the glowing line for massive chain combos.
- Keep the middle clear: Try to keep the central columns lower, as an overflowing column anywhere on the board will end the game.
