Game description:

FIFA Soccer 64 brought EA Sports’ flagship football franchise into the 3D era on the Nintendo 64. Released in 1997, it was the first FIFA title to appear on the console, featuring fully polygonal players, motion-captured animations, and play-by-play commentary. The game includes a wide roster of international and club teams, supporting up to four players for local multiplayer tournaments.

How to Play

The game offers both Simple and Complex control schemes. In Simple mode, use the Control Stick to move your player. The A Button handles passing on offense and switching defenders on defense, while the B Button is used for shooting and tackling. To sprint past defenders, repeatedly tap the Left C Button. You can also perform a rainbow flick by pressing the Bottom C Button.

Tips

  • On lower difficulty settings like Novice, it is often effective to simply dribble around the goalkeeper rather than relying on power shots.
  • You can curve your shots by holding the Z Button while kicking, giving you better accuracy from outside the penalty box.
  • For an easy highlight reel, try following up a rainbow flick (Bottom C Button) with an immediate shot command to attempt a spectacular bicycle kick.
