Released by Electronic Arts in 1993, FIFA International Soccer brought the pioneering isometric sports franchise to the Game Gear. As the first entry in the long-running FIFA series, it shifted away from the top-down perspective common at the time to offer a more realistic, television-style view of the pitch. This portable version focuses entirely on national teams and retains the signature arcade-style passing and shooting mechanics, condensed for the handheld screen.

Tips
- The block tackle: Positioning a player directly in front of the opposing goalkeeper when they are attempting to clear the ball can result in the ball ricocheting off your player and into the net.
- Shoot across the goal: When attacking from the wings, firing a hard, diagonal shot across the face of the goal is highly effective, as the goalkeeper struggles to cover the far post.
