Egypt is a tile-shifting puzzle game developed by Human Entertainment and originally released exclusively for the Famicom (NES) in Japan in 1991. In this ancient tomb adventure, you control a jewel sphere on an 8×8 grid, stepping on directional arrows to slide rows and columns. Your goal is to match two or more identical objects to remove them from the board. This playable version includes the English translation patch by Dodgy.
How to Play
Clear the board by grouping matching items together before time expires. The game uses standard NES controls: use the D-pad to navigate your jewel, mapped to the arrow keys on your keyboard. Press A or B (Z or X) to interact, Start (Enter) to pause, and Select (Shift) for options.
Tips
- Think ahead before stepping on a directional arrow, as shifting a row or column will displace all other tiles in that line.
- Work from the edges inward when possible, as tiles trapped in corners are often the hardest to align.
