Developed by Nintendo and released for the NES in 1984, Devil World is a maze action game that puts a unique spin on the dot-eating formula. Playing as the dragon Tamagon, you navigate a grid to collect dots while avoiding enemies. The twist is the Devil at the top of the screen: he continuously directs his minions to shift the maze in different directions, forcing you to constantly adapt so you aren’t crushed against the scrolling screen edges.
How to play
Your goal is to clear the maze of dots or Bibles, depending on the stage, but you can only collect dots while holding a Cross. Grabbing a Cross also allows you to breathe fire to defeat enemies for a short time. Devil World supports two-player cooperative play.

Tips
- Pay close attention to the Devil’s pointing finger at the top of the screen; it tells you which way the maze is about to scroll so you can move away from the trailing edge to avoid being crushed.
- Prioritize getting a Cross immediately. You cannot eat any dots without holding one, and picking one up temporarily allows you to breathe fire at enemies.
