The Cycles: International Grand Prix Racing is a 1989 motorcycle simulation developed by Distinctive Software and published by Accolade for DOS. Built on an engine similar to Grand Prix Circuit, it features a first-person handlebar perspective where the screen tilts during turns to simulate real-world leaning physics. You can compete in Practice mode, Single Races, or a full Championship season across 15 real-world circuits.
How to play
Your objective is to qualify for a strong starting position and win races to claim the World Championship. You can select from three bike classes: 125cc (slower and easier to handle), 250cc, or the demanding 500cc class. The game features five difficulty levels, with lower settings providing automatic gear shifting while the higher levels require precise manual control.

Tips
- Start with the 125cc class: The slower bikes are much more forgiving while you memorise the braking points for each circuit.
- Lean early: To navigate corners effectively without losing speed, you must begin leaning into the turn just before you reach it.
- Mind the 500cc throttle: These powerful bikes are prone to crashing or high-siding if you accelerate too hard while leaning heavily.
