Developed by Rare in 1991, this Sega Genesis action-platformer brings the notoriously brutal beat ’em up from the NES to 16-bit hardware. You play as Rash and Zitz, brawling through waves of enemies and braving punishing obstacle courses in a quest to rescue Pimple and Princess Angelica from the Dark Queen. The Genesis port features upgraded visuals and sound, but retains the infamous difficulty that made the original a legend.
How to play
Fight your way through each level using a mix of standard attacks and over-the-top finishing moves where your limbs expand to massive proportions. The game frequently shifts genres, throwing you into high-speed hoverbike races and platforming segments that require flawless memorisation.

Tips
- In two-player mode, friendly fire is always on. Be extremely careful not to hit your partner, especially during crowded fights or platforming sections.
- During the infamous Turbo Tunnel (Level 3), keep your eyes on the far right of the screen to anticipate incoming barriers, and rely on rhythm rather than just visual reaction.
- Use the dash attack (double-tap left or right, then attack) to clear out weaker enemies quickly and safely.
