Game description:

Twisted Flipper is the rare 1991 Sega Genesis prototype of the pinball video game that would eventually be rebranded and released as Crüe Ball. Developed by NuFX and published by Electronic Arts, this beta version offers a fascinating look at the game's original heavy metal-inspired design before late-stage licensing deals changed its title. It features the same fast-paced, multi-level table design and aggressive physics that made the final release a cult classic among 16-bit pinball fans.

How to Play

Your objective is to rack up a high score and defeat boss enemies by launching the ball up the multi-tiered table and hitting specific targets. Use the Arrow Keys to nudge the table, and Z, X, or C (mapped to the Genesis A, B, and C buttons) to trigger the left and right flippers or launch the ball into play.

Tips

Focus on hitting the stationary targets in the center of the lower playfield to spell out words, which unlocks pathways to the upper sections of the table. You can nudge the table carefully when the ball is near the outlanes to save it, but be careful not to trigger a tilt and temporarily lose control of your flippers.
