Atlantis is a fixed-screen shooter published by Imagic for the Atari 2600 in 1982. Three ground-based cannons guard the mythical city against waves of alien spacecraft that sweep in from the sides and arc downward toward the installations below. The enemy patterns grow faster and more numerous with each wave, turning a manageable first round into a genuine challenge by the third.
How to Play
All three cannons fire simultaneously when you press the fire button: the left shoots diagonally toward the upper-left, the centre fires straight up, and the right covers the upper-right. Incoming ships follow arcing descent paths from the flanks; intercept them before they reach city level and destroy an installation. The game ends when the last structure is gone.

Tips
- Fire early: ships near the top of the screen are spread wide apart and easier to hit cleanly. Waiting until they descend narrows your window sharply.
- Prioritise the ship that has dropped the lowest โ saving an installation at the last moment counts for more than clearing a ship still high on the screen.
