Game description:

Atlantis no Nazo is a notoriously difficult action-platformer developed by Sunsoft and released in Japan for the NES. Controlling an explorer named Wynn, players navigate 100 non-linear zones, relying on dynamite to defeat enemies and uncover hidden warp doors.

How to Play

The goal is to survive the treacherous environments and reach the final zone. Controls follow standard NES inputs: use the D-pad to move and duck, press A to jump, and press B to throw sticks of dynamite. In the browser, these are mapped to the arrow keys, Z (A), and X (B).

Tips

  • Dynamite is your only weapon, but its explosion can also hurt you. Practice timing your throws to blast enemies and reveal hidden doors without taking damage.
  • The game’s non-linear progression means certain warp doors can send you backward or trap you in inescapable zones. Be prepared for trial and error to find the true path to Zone 100.
