Developed by LucasArts and released in 1993, Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a classic top-down run-and-gun shooter for the Sega Genesis. Players take on the roles of teenagers Zeke and Julie as they battle through suburban neighborhoods, shopping malls, and haunted castles to rescue various clueless neighbors from an invasion of horror movie monsters.
How to Play
The objective in each of the game’s 55 levels is to find and rescue all surviving neighbors before the monsters get to them. Once all living neighbors are saved, a door opens to the next stage. In this browser emulator, use the Arrow keys to move. Use Z, X, and C for actions (shooting, switching weapons, and using items), and press Enter to start or pause the game.
Tips
- Save the Bazooka: Keep your heavy weapons, like the bazooka and monster potions, for boss encounters or tough monster crowds.
- Listen for Neighbors: Pay attention to audio cues like “Help!” and the on-screen radar to locate neighbors quickly, as monsters will actively hunt them down.
