Time Killers is a 2D fighting game released for the Sega Genesis in 1996. Originally developed for arcades by Incredible Technologies, the game gained notoriety for its brutal damage system where players can sever their opponents’ limbs during combat and secure instant victories through decapitation.
The objective is to defeat a roster of time-traveling warriors in one-on-one combat to ultimately face Death. Time Killers features a unique button layout where attacks correspond to specific body parts (head, both arms, both legs). If a limb takes too much damage, it is severed, disabling any attacks that relied on it. For the Sega Genesis browser emulator, the D-pad maps to the arrow keys. The six action buttons are mapped to Z, X, C, A, S, and D on your keyboard, with Start mapped to Enter.
Tips: Focus on landing a decapitation attack, as it instantly wins the round regardless of the opponent’s remaining health. If your character loses an arm in combat, you can no longer use the weapon held in that hand and must adapt to using kicks or your remaining arm.
