The Terminator on the Sega Genesis is a fast-paced action platformer that closely follows the 1984 sci-fi classic. Developed by Probe Software and released in 1992, you step into the boots of Kyle Reese as he battles through the post-apocalyptic future before traveling back to 1984 Los Angeles. Your mission is simple but relentless: protect Sarah Connor from the unstoppable T-800 cyborg and survive a gauntlet of Hunter-Killers, street thugs, and police across familiar locations like the Tech Noir nightclub and the Cyberdyne factory.
How to Play
Your goal is to survive each level by running, gunning, and reaching the exit before your health is depleted. You can aim and shoot in multiple directions, and you will need to utilize both your rapid-fire machine gun and explosive time bombs to take down heavier machinery.

Tips
- Keep moving: Enemies in many stages, especially during the future war and on the streets of LA, respawn infinitely. Don’t waste time trying to clear the screen; keep pushing forward to preserve your health.
- Master the time bombs: In the first level, your standard gun won’t destroy the large flying Hunter-Killers. You must lob time bombs in an arc to take them down.
