The King of Fighters ’94 is the landmark 1994 arcade fighting game developed by SNK that launched the legendary crossover series. Breaking away from traditional one-on-one matches, it introduced a revolutionary 3-on-3 team battle system, bringing together popular characters from Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and other SNK classics to compete as national teams.
How to Play
The objective is to defeat all three members of the opposing team to win the match. The game uses a standard arcade layout, typically mapped in the browser to Arrow Keys for joystick movement, and action keys (often Z, X, C, V or A, S, D, F) for the four attack buttons: Light Punch, Light Kick, Strong Punch, and Strong Kick. Use Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start.
Tips
- Team Selection: Unlike later entries in the series, you cannot build a custom team in KOF ’94; you must choose one of the pre-defined national teams, so find a trio whose playstyles you enjoy.
- Power Gauge: You can manually charge your power gauge by pressing and holding the A, B, and C action buttons together. A full gauge increases your attack damage and lets you perform a powerful Desperation Move.
- Desperation Moves: You can also use Desperation Moves for free at any time when your health bar is critically low and flashing red.
- Dodging: Press Light Punch and Light Kick simultaneously to perform a stationary dodge, letting projectiles and attacks pass right through you.
