Game description:

Top Gun is a 1987 air combat simulator for the NES developed by Konami, loosely based on the hit film. Playing as Maverick in an F-14 Tomcat, you pilot your jet through four intense, first-person combat missions against enemy bogeys and massive boss targets, all while managing your fuel and ammunition.

How to Play

Steer your Tomcat using the Arrow keys, and adjust your throttle to manage speed. Press Z to fire your machine guns and X to lock on and launch missiles. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select. Keep a close eye on your fuel gauge and altitude during missions.

Tips

The infamous carrier landings require you to match the exact speed and altitude instructions flashing on your screen—ignore the visual of the carrier and trust your instruments. During mid-air refueling, focus on aligning your plane steadily behind the tanker without overcorrecting.
