Game description:

Released in 1992 by Mitchell Corporation, this 2D arcade fighting game was designed by Kouichi Yotsui to offer a grounded, realistic simulation of martial arts combat. Stepping away from the supernatural moves and fireballs of its contemporaries, it challenges players with tactical matches scored on a traditional point system rather than a standard health bar.

How to play

The objective is to defeat opponents by landing precise, clean strikes to score points under traditional karate rules. Before beginning, you choose your difficulty by selecting a White, Brown, or Black belt. Use the default arcade directional controls to move, block, and distance yourself, while combining button inputs for high and low attacks.

Tips

  • Prioritize defense: With the point-based scoring system, a reckless attack can easily cost you the match. Focus on blocking and wait for a clear opening to strike.
  • Manage your distance: Since the game aims for realism, understanding the reach of your kicks and punches is essential for landing a clean hit before your opponent does.
