The Glob is a fast-paced platform game developed by Epos Corporation, released for arcades in 1983 as a conversion kit built to run on repurposed Pac-Man cabinets. The same game was also sold under the names Super Glob and Beastie Feastie. You guide a blue, blob-like creature through a multi-floor complex of corridors and elevators, gobbling up all the food scattered across each of 24 unique levels while a pack of hungry animals tries to stop you.
How to Play
Clear a level by eating every piece of food on screen before the roaming enemies catch you. Elevators are your main way to travel between floors, and you can also cling to the ceiling to let a pursuing animal pass harmlessly underneath, then drop down to take it out.
- Arrow Keys: Move and climb
- Z / X: Jump, stick to the ceiling, and call elevators
- Shift: Insert Coin
- Enter: Start Game
Tips
- Let the ceiling do the work: Clinging above a floor is safer than trying to outrun an animal in the open corridors below.
- Time your elevator calls: Bringing a car down onto a chasing enemy is often faster than trying to lose it on foot.
