Developed by Nintendo and released for the NES in 1993, Tetris 2 shifts the classic puzzle formula from clearing solid lines to color matching. Instead of the traditional falling tetrominoes, you are given a board filled with pre-placed blocks and must drop colored pieces to match three of the same color vertically or horizontally.
How to Play
Your objective in each stage is to clear all the flashing “bomb” blocks from the board. Matching three blocks of the same color makes them disappear. If you successfully match and clear a flashing block, all other blocks of that same color will instantly vanish from the board.

Tips
- Target the Flash Blocks: Don’t waste time clearing regular blocks unless they are blocking your path. Focus entirely on setting up matches with the flashing blocks.
- Plan for Chain Reactions: Since pieces break apart and fall when the blocks below them are cleared, you can set up powerful chain reactions by leaving intentional gaps.
