Super Snakey is the 1994 Japanese release of the puzzle game widely known internationally as WildSnake. Released for the Game Boy, the game tasks players with clearing a playfield of falling, multi-colored snakes. Rather than rigid blocks, the pieces are living snakes that can slither forward into open spaces, adding a unique, dynamic twist to the classic match-and-clear formula. Touching two snakes of the same color causes them to disappear.
How to Play
The objective is to clear the playfield by matching snakes of the same color and preventing the pile from reaching the top of the screen.
- Arrow Keys: Move the falling snake left or right
- Z: Rotate the snake
- X: Drop the snake faster
- Enter: Pause the game
Tips
- Pay close attention to the shape of the snakes as they fall; they will naturally slither to fill gaps if you align them correctly.
- Try to set up chain reactions by positioning snakes so that clearing one color allows the snake above to fall and match another group.
