Strikers 1945 Plus is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up released for the Arcade in 1999 by Psikyo. Serving as a remixed version of Strikers 1945 II specifically for Neo Geo hardware, the game features six varied World War II-era aircraft that battle through waves of enemy forces, ultimately facing off against massive mechanical bosses that transform from historical military vehicles into sci-fi mechs.

How to Play

Pilot your chosen aircraft to destroy enemies while dodging dense curtains of bullet hell fire. The game uses standard arcade controls: move your ship with the joystick (mapped to the arrow keys), insert a coin and start the game (Shift and Enter), press the primary button to fire your main weapon and charge your secondary attack (Z), and use the secondary button to unleash a screen-clearing bomb (X).

Tips

• Master the charge shot: Each plane has a unique secondary attack that activates when you hold and release the fire button. Use it strategically to clear out tougher enemies quickly without wasting your bombs.
• Time your gold pickups: Gold bars flash briefly after appearing. Collecting them exactly when they shine white yields the maximum score bonus.
• Save bombs for emergencies: Bombs not only deal massive damage but also provide temporary invincibility. Keep them in reserve for when you are trapped in an inescapable bullet pattern during boss fights.
